A Guide to Classical Music Concerts and Opera in Brussels

Now that the concert season is in full swing, here are some tips on how not to break the bank when going to concerts and getting the most out of your overseas cultural experience.

Listed below are some websites where you have information on free or low cost concerts.
As a general rule, people under 26 or over 60, are entitled to cheaper tickets. If you can plan ahead, season tickets bought before the beginning of the season e.g. in May or June, are also advantageous. Concerts during the day are also cheaper. Last minute bookings from the Arsene50 website are a good bargain.
For opera at La Monnaie, cheaper seats can be reserved if bought on the first day of ticket issue. Dates of the first day of ticket sales for each opera can be obtained from La Monnaie website.
